Anyone know this place? Apparently it's two restaurants: one is a sushi bar, the other serves Catalan specialties. <_< A friend's guests include several kosher-keepers who eat only raw fish in restaurants, and this is her compromise. Dinner doesn't have to be fabulous, just good.

I told her I'd ask the experts for advice. ;)

I ate there 1 1/2 years ago but I don't remember a sushi bar. If I recall correctly, there was a Japanese restaurant across the street (or around the corner) under the same ownership but with a different name.

We went to Tragaluz on the recommendation of Ed Brown from The Sea Grill. Very sleek albeit sparce room with excellent service. The most memorable dish was a starter portion of sauteed wild mushrooms atop crispy potatoes, subsequently topped by a poached duck egg and shaved truffles. It was definitely WOW!

I also remember the food being served on very unique serving plates.

It sounds like they expanded the restaurant:

Mitchell, thanks so much - a recommendation from you AND Ed Brown will make my pal very happy!
