We were in Osaka for just a day, catching our plane down to Okinawa. I was sad to be so close to Seoul (would have rather been catching a plane to Korea!) and not get to go so we tried to satisfy my craving by going to Tsurihashi, home to the largest population of Korean immigrants in Japan.

There is a market with stalls behind the station which really ought to be called Kimchi alley.

We bought pajang from these ladies which for some reason is called chijimi in Japan. It was just okay

I really wanted to buy some of these hot pepper paste crabs but I thought the people on my flight later that day wouldn't be too happy with the garlicky smell!

All the kimchi you could ever want was sold here, but its still not a patch on actually being in Seoul.

And of course we had to have Okonomiyaki. This particular place is in the basement of the Sky Umeda building. Decent Okonomiyaki (Osaka is famous for its Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and Udon) and good yaki udon if you are visiting the building for its views. And the atmosphere and service in the dinky little place is great.
