What are these flowers?

The flowers look like some sort of perennial helianthus. I'll have to poke around a bit to get specific. The fruit is a variety of crabapple.

The flowers look like Black-eyed Susans. And my grandma used to make jelly out of those crabapples...at least the ones left after my brother had pelted me with them. :D
