Rain mixed with sleet, changing to all sleet, changing back to rain. Cold, biting wind. Snow in the forecast for later this week.
Perfect day to make some beans. RG midnight blacks, onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms from Griggstown Market, chicken broth, some left over sausage from Stefan & Sons. It's been simmering for a few hours now, and fills the house with great fragrance.
I have some bread rising in the clay pot...

My only complaint was that if they need to charge me $30 because they're robbing the duck to pay the boar they might as well give me a more substantial portion of flour, water, and bits of meat.
