They are about a 1/4 of the price of their Italian counterpart...how do they hold up taste/flavor wise? Anyone have first hand (or mouth) experience?

I've used them in the past. They are very small and their flavor is very mild. I've been disappointed with them.

Agree with Lauren, but the Truffle Oil (real), they make from them is excellent. The milder flavor is what most cook's look for in a real Truffle Oil.

Thanks guys...I have some really good truffle oils I smuggled back from Italy, this is really for just a project/recipes I'm working on,....I 'kinda' just need a few shavings for garnish. truffle dishes are just THAT much better with a few shavings on top.
