“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

That's awful. She was good in her role in "Clueless," and look how beautiful she became.

Cardiac arrest can follow drug use; I hope that's not the case.

Sad.

Well, she's been in the gossip blogs for a while now, suspected of drug use...it's rare for young, seemingly healthy adults to just drop like that, especially in Hollywood, I'm afraid, without some sort of drug involved.

Poor thing.

People, please. Drugs kill.
“And another thing. You don't have to "move on" either. Not until you're ready. People say, Oh, you should be grateful. They say, Oh, it's time for you to move on. I'm like, What are you, a cop with a nightstick? I'll move on when I'm done playing the blues on my harmonica, thank you very much.

Really, people will tell you all kinds of garbage. Don't believe it.

You don't have to move on until you're ready.”

I didn't even know she was as old as 32. She was cute, which apparently doesn't automatically excuse you from dying. sad.gif

there are congenital heart conditions whose first symptom is "sudden death". let's not jump to conclusions.

This is an absolute shocker. With the upcoming revival of A View From the Bridge on Broadway, Blovie and I were just recently reminiscing about her excellent performance in the Roundabout's version in '97. Very sad and tragic.

There's an article on the front page of the Newark NJ Star-Ledger today about the widespread anorexia among female gymnasts and swimmers. It's a huge problem, with counseling, residential rehab, etc. Similar to the problems among young men with "making weight" for wrestling matches.

I'd suspect that being in Hollywood is many times that pressure to conform.
My only complaint was that if they need to charge me $30 because they're robbing the duck to pay the boar they might as well give me a more substantial portion of flour, water, and bits of meat.

Tragic indeed. I thought she was great in both Clueless and 8 Mile, in very different roles.
