Hey guys,

I just got done building a site that allows you to search for restaurants that have been featured on TV. So far 5 shows such as "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" and "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" have been added to the search queue. Right now we have around 600 restuarants all spread throughout the USA that you can access. The site also implements an advanced search panel where you can filter your results based on show, host, location and radius. We are working hard everyday to add more shows, more search options and more features you want to see. Best of all the site is free to use and open to everyone. Check it out and let us know what you think. If you like what you see then be sure to spread the word, join our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter.

Cheers,
Brandon

Excellent stuff! I'd love a link to your FB page!

No problem! You can become a fan and follow the latest developments directly at the site. I hope you find great use out of it. We should have Man vs. Food added this week as well as some other small features. Be sure to check back often because updates are always occurring.

Hey, no problem there! The primary use case for the site is to ultimately find good food whether you are staying local or traveling to a new area. You can still search the site without applying filters and just pull up places in the area you are interested in.

What I reallly would like is the opposite kind of website. I can't tell you how many times I've been eating in a restaurant and thought, "I bet this place would be absolutely great on television." Some places would I think be much better on the tube and I might rather like to be sitting on my couch eating thai takeout and watching someone eat here than doing so myself. IT SEEMS WITH YOUR WEBSITE DATA you could implement a kind of "REVERSE" search and tell me which shows a restaurant is on??

I think I follow what you are saying up until you get to the end. If you take a peak at the advanced search you can filter out the restaurants based on the show they appeared on. Each color also represents a show so that you can visually distinguish the different places and the shows they have been featured on. Could you elaborate a little bit more on what it is you would like to see if I didn't already cover it. laugh.gif

i don't think you can describe yourselves as famous food finder. i'd never heard of you before. i think you should change everything on your site to just food finder.

“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

For those experiencing errors accessing the site, I will need to look into this. There should not be any issues and checking the site now shows no problems.
