Kimchi fries with pickled cabbage, Kurobuta pork belly and cheddar cheese on fried Kennebec potatoes
Most of the basic food groups in one place.
Have you ventured forth to try this culinary trail blazer yet?
My only complaint was that if they need to charge me $30 because they're robbing the duck to pay the boar they might as well give me a more substantial portion of flour, water, and bits of meat.

Had the Korean Short Ribs Beef BBQ Tacos off the Kogi truck. Pretty good for $2. Fortunately, there was no line when I went. Haven't done the fries, quesadilla.

Today I sampled two trucks: Buttermilk Truck for breakfast and the Grilled Cheese Truck for lunch.
Buttermilk Truck:
Visited at the Brentwood Country Mart - by San Vicente/26th st
Buttermilk Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich - Served on housemade buttermilk biscuit with cheese and fried egg and chicken apple sausage $3.50 The sandwich was delicious. The biscuits were fluffy and the fried egg had a runny yolk. The chicken apple sausage was a nice option (you can also get pork).
Rosemary garlic hash browns $.50 Shaped like a hockey puck, not really what I would describe as hash browns. Eat it with your hand. fine.
Cake donuts - Fried to golden brown and dusted with powdered sugar and glazed with cinnamon vanilla glaze - these were served in a bag straight out of the fryer. hot hot hot and tasty.
Time in line. 1 minute. Time for food to arrive post order. ~5 minutes.
They cooked the food quickly and the sandwich came out ahead of the donuts (they ask your name). It was a fair value and the food was good. Vedrict: A winner. I'd go back.
Grilled Cheese Truck:
Visited at the Beverly Hills Porsche location near Wilshire & La Cienega.
Plain and simple melt with sharp cheddar cheese on french bread with Parmesan crust. $5.25 The sandwich was hot. I thought the flavor was just OK, actually disappointing.
Tater tots and a side of a nacho cheese dip. $3.50 Lots of tator tots in a bag. They were the hottest (temp) thing I'd had all day. had to carry the bag with napkins it was so hot.
I sat down on a bench in a plaza a block away and ate. The tater tots were fine. unobjectionbale but not something to seek out.
Wait for them to be ready 5 minutes. No wait in line as I was first customer of the day. Wait for food 5 minutes.
They said people had waited 3 hrs for their food at the Street Food Fest. Insane. I wouldn't wait at all for this food. Verdict: Not worth the hype.
