Pick up the dime.
Put down the dime.
Pick up the dime.
Put down the dime.
(and repeat)

See? You have no free will.
“And another thing. You don't have to "move on" either. Not until you're ready. People say, Oh, you should be grateful. They say, Oh, it's time for you to move on. I'm like, What are you, a cop with a nightstick? I'll move on when I'm done playing the blues on my harmonica, thank you very much.

Really, people will tell you all kinds of garbage. Don't believe it.

You don't have to move on until you're ready.”

As near as I can remember it, the entire Ramtha family always rode a little too hard to the left of center.

I'm going now. I have to reread Emerson's essay on Compensation.
Cambridge University Professor of Electrical Engineering, Sir Charles Oatley, in October, 1948, along with his student Dennis McMullan, began the research that led to the production of the first scanning electron microscope in 1965.

I thought you'd want to know.

I was forced to endure one of Landmark Forum's intro lectures once. That will suffice for this lifetime. I think Ron Popiel would be more entertaining.

Staples had a 1Gig memory card for 49 bucks, according to their Sunday flyer. Of course they were "sold out" when I got there on Monday. I told them they think they're being funny but all they're doing is pissing us off and I would never take their flyers seriously again. Bait and switch. Fuck you very much.

My best friends boyfriend, the reiki practitioner, asked me to see a movie with him called "What the bleep do we know?", supposedly a an honest, constructive discussion of science vs. spirituality I knew I wasn't going to like it as soon as he mentioned it, but agreed that we could see it at some point.

My sister's father-in-law subjected her and her husband to this movie. He saw it first and loved it so much that he insisted that they see it with him. Needless to say the father in law is a freakshow....

My apartment has been freezing this week. I need to go scream at the super. In the elevator this morning on my way to work a neighbor said it was 61 degrees in his apartment. That is too cold for me. Warmer than the 20 degrees outside but still way too freezing! :D

City law requires that the heat must be set at a minimum of 68F between the hours of 6am and 10pm.

This site gives the requirements, as well as who to call to complain.

I bet our apartment is colder than 68F too. Trouble is, being in a small building, if someone forces the condominium to upgrade the heating system, guess who pays?

I sold used cars for several years. Once I had you on the lot, you were mine, all mine.

My annoyance: sick again with the Chicago-winter cold. Just got over one three weeks ago. Everyone I know has this shit. Also, tonight is the work holiday party, open bar, and not only am I sick, but I have to work tomorrow morning. Guess who's not going to be doing any shots. :D

Oh, and one of my Profs cancelled today's class, which was supposed to be our last one of the term. Now we all have to come Monday. :D

Having to go into school today because of computer problems. One of the kid's final movie project which is due tomorrow night wouldn't playback on her laptop, freezing and dropping frames, probably not enough RAM. So we copied the project onto an external hard drive and took it to two other computers but all the sound files from one cd aren't recognizable for some reason. There was another movie we copied over and that plays fine. And the other music files on the final project play fine too. And they play on the laptop. Ugh.
