Jeez, you went from line cook to a Spanish lawyer? That' s marvelous.
I never passed the bar. I always went right in. It was my downfall. Will you represent me in my divorce? It will be in Barcelona in December and then again in Arcos de la Frontera in the bridge in February. We haven't settled on a venue for March but have been thinking of an oak forest full of pigs somewhere in Estremadura.
Thanks.
Kitchens are where dreams come true for illiterate mountain people from el salvador, they beat out the candy ass white college boy even in bar exams. (Bourdain told me this).
Congratulations Nero! A true story of triumph over adversity and humble beginnings.
Wait . . . are you guys being serious?

I'd trust anything Bourdain says about bar exams. He's an expert witness (and participant). Knows quite about about bars....
Congratulations, NeroW!

I'm never not unserious, in a loosely ironic sort of way, as it were. That must be why I failed to pass the bar, any bar, wherein I could advocate avocaat without fear of tortuous interference. I hope that clears up any confusion incident upon my previous posting(s).
I thought you'd want to know.

They should serve wine.
I can't believe people wait for over an hour, sometimes close to two hours for a 3 minute ride.
What is that? That's a way to spend the day?
My wife's cousin went to Disneyland Tokyo and he told me that adults come dressed up as their favorite disney characters. These are not employees, just regular folks.

When I was a kid (a hundred years ago) and we went to Disneyland, it was quite fun!
Just saw your 2nd post. Yes, wine would be nice while standing in line!

There's a cottage industry of folks who monitor the lines at various Disney theme park rides and produce diagrams of the order in which the rides should be taken to minimize the waits.
You can download them to your watch or PDA if you're into that kind of stuff.
(Warning - you need to be able to walk very quickly)
