discovered today that someone else just published my book. well, not exactly, but now my project is no longer original. this is why i hate to do research.

A perfect excuse to do more staring at the ceiling, and the screen etc etc as well as developing your chef d'oeuvre (AS) yet further. One of the world's ironies that something like that can't earn you tenure.

The mirror on the driver's side of my car fell out today. Just the glass--which is now about 50 pieces of glass at the entrance to our street. Just a piece of glass about 3" x 6".

$65 for a piece of glass.

lost the Xfm radio signal in my flat since Thursday, some awful pirate station has taken over the airwaves. Waking up to speed garage doesn't do it for me.

Discovering I have been wearing the wrong sized bra for over 10 years now and shocked at my actual measurements.

I had the same experience whilst getting measured for wedding dress scaffolding. Amazing, isn't it? I've been evangelical about getting properly measured ever since.

Had my credit card declined in New York on Saturday. Very very very very very angry. Four phone calls today have the store, the store's authorizing company, Mastercard and MBNA all denying it's their fault and passing the buck to one another. They will not succeed because one of them has screwed up, and has made me very very very very angry. The amount of compensation that I have in mind is increasing hourly

Last night while getting dressed to go to wedding (I know, who gets married on a monday night) I pulled out my bone-colored slingbacks only to notice they now have a green tinge to them.

Anyone ever have this experience with Louboutins?

My negative experiences with Louboutins have been limited to spike heels breaking. However, if you bought the shoes in a major department store, I would return them no matter when you bought them. Shoes at that price point simply should not turn green, or break when you actually attempt to walk a few steps in them.
