I just found out that La Divina Gelateria in New Orleans is now shipping. There will be a package coming to me on Monday. I have tasted some of the fancy stuff from New York and this stuff is just as good if not better. These guys have a true passion for what they are doing. When I was there a couple of weeks ago I tasted the Satsuma/fennel and the cream brulee and the chocolate turbodog (a local beer from Abita) and this stuff is wonderful. Here is the link - La Divina. It is located on Magazine Street across the street from the old St Elizabeth's orphanage, that is the one that Ann Rice used to own or still does. now if I can get the gourmet grocery across the street from me to start carrying the gelato then life will truly be fine in Tulsa.
