has anyone used the service? how does it compare to fresh direct? am still trying to find a way to cope with living in a neighborhood with no supermarket.
“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

pretty good service. not as many high end items as fresh direct, which is not available in my area, but good basic offerings.

delivery was on time. they give you text message updates narrowing the delivery window once the driver's stops are set.

they made a few shopping mistakes. received light buttermilk instead of regular and received an 11 pound turkey instead of a 7 pound one, but was charged for a 16 pound bird. the customer service person was courteous, apologized for the mistakes and credited my account for the buttermilk and adjusted the charge me to a 7 pound turkey. they offered me the option of exchanging both items or taking the adjustment.

i also received several discounts, $1.50 off the delivery charge for selecting a window with other local deliveries, $20 first order coupon.

i think this service will be perfect for my mom, this winter.
