The Times-Picayune restaurant critic looks at a few bargains available now or soon in the Crescent City.

Free boiled crabs at Crazy Al's on Lake Catherine

GW Fins, 808 Bienville St., 504.581.3467....Its "Fins' Feast" is a three-course meal for $30. (For those keeping score, that's roughly the average price of a single entree from the regular menu.) A few of the options: Lobster dumplings, macadamia-crusted swordfish with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and white chocolate-and-caramel bread pudding.

Free is a pretty good price
My only complaint was that if they need to charge me $30 because they're robbing the duck to pay the boar they might as well give me a more substantial portion of flour, water, and bits of meat.

Thanks, RP! Since I will be going back in September, this is good to know about.
