I have an older iPod that was synched to an older computer. It has about 7 G unused memory and a lot of music from the older iTunes library that does not exist anymore. There is music on one of my iTunes libraries I want to transfer to the unused space on this iPod. Is there any way to do that without loising al the music stored on it?

Yes. Download a programme called 'iPod Disk' and use it to open your old iPod. This, will allow you to access the contents of the iPod as if it were an external drive. Then copy your music to the older iTunes library. Then sync the older iPod to this updated iTunes library.

of course if you're on a windows machine, all you have to do is set the ipod to disk mode, set windows to view invisible file and then explore your ipod as an external drive. can macs/mac pods not do this?
