splinky, thanks for the heads up on the Amazon deal. I just ordered it. And yes, probably the very first thing I will cook in the pot will be some Yellow Eyes. As for who gets it after me, probably my nephew in Austin, he will be getting most of my kitchen stuff.

Have you seen these All-Clad pots that resemble Chamba pots, but they're not stoneware at all? They're actually aluminum! I saw some in Bloomingdale's the other day and thought "what's the point?" I can't find them now on the All-Clad site, so maybe they're discontinued.

Of course. And look, it's enameled like Le Cruset so it's non-reactive.
And it puts the price more in line with LC as well.
