I'm thinking of getting an air purifier. We live in a city, thus have shitty air quality. Also, my now 2-year-old daughter was born very premature (had chronic lung disease; may develop asthma in the future; is extremely healthy now but has coughs that hang on much longer than they should).

Does anyone have experience with air purifiers? I'd really prefer not to spend more than $300 or $400.
