I've got a couple of fir trees that are gettig too tall and a bit wide in the base. (Just like me.)
Should I try to trim it myself, keeping its shape?
Should I take the bottom limbs off to create some space between the lower limbs and the ground?

I usually try to trim the bottom limbs of fir trees to allow a feet feet of ground clearance.
It looks cleaner, and makes it easier to fill in the space with wood chips, etc.

My only complaint was that if they need to charge me $30 because they're robbing the duck to pay the boar they might as well give me a more substantial portion of flour, water, and bits of meat.
