Every year, food bloggers from all over the world come together for a fundraising campaign we call Menu for Hope. Last year, we raised $17,000 to help UNICEF.
This year, our beneficiary is the UN World Food Programme. The campaign is in its fourth day, and has already raised over $15K. It's scheduled to end next Friday December 22.
You can join buy making a donation to WFP on our donation page, every $10 of which affords you one raffle ticket toward a prize of your choice.
The prizes on offer might be of interest to many food lovers here on MF. They range from dining certificates to restaurants like Manresa in CA (2 grand tasting menu + wine pairings), L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in London, and Tetsuya's (2 tasting menu +wine pairings) in Sydney, and many more.
There are also once in a lifetime chances like an invitation to coffee with Thomas Keller, tea with Harold McGee, or dinner with Eric Asimov. There are also plenty of cookbooks, many of which are signed. There are food hampers showcasing local bounties from many interesting regions around the world.
The entire list of prizes is here: Menu for Hope III
If you want to see prizes from your own region, you can go to one of these regional host blogs near you:

US East Coast: The Amateur Gourmet
US Central: Kalyn's Kitchen

I'm also coordinating the donation of a box of handmade charcuterie, courtesy of my good friend here in Santa Cruz, Justin Severino. His gift box which will go out with Michael Ruhlman's own offering: an autographed limited 5th edition of Charcuterie: The Art of Salt, Smoking and Curing (with new recipes!). Since Justin and Ruhlman are both Cleveland boys, and Justin uses some of Michael's recipes in his work, it's a good fit. Photos of the charcuterie and the jams should be on our blogs soon.
