Allergy attack. Woke up sneezing in the middle of the night. Have barely stopped since. Right eye watering like a mother-f***er. Am about to go after the nasal passages with saline solution spray (that usually helps).

Thanks. Mine is just twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring right when the weather changes. Starts with sore throat and progresses to full blown head cold. Its a bummer.

Are you sure it's not some sort of allergy? I used to have the same problem until I saw an allergist who gave me about 50 scratch tests and other tests only to inform me that my very mild childhood asthma, which had disappeared, had come back and that while I am not 'allergic' to the pollen, mold, etc. flying around when the seasons change it does irritate me as it does those with true allergies. Not so oddly, these respiratory issues arose post 9/11 in the immediate aftermath of which my East Village neighborhood was noxiously fumy and a fine gritty dust drifted onto the sills and in the windows for weeks.
Feel better soon. And when you get home have my granny's cure: a shot of bourbon topped with boiling water and mixed with lemon juice and either honey or stem ginger in syrup.

"How about Listing 5u7345?"
"Not available either"

My business school dropped 10 rankings from #17 to #27 in the important Business Week magazine rankings. This sucks as it makes it harder for the school to attract both students and recruiters....
I hate the whole rankings idea in the first place but if applicants and recruiters buy into it, then the university must play the game....

I had a fight (well, more like a hissy fit) with my dermatologist's receptionists. After regularly waiting 30 minutes for each appointment, I got so fed up yesterday with being there for 45 minutes and not getting called that I told them to forget the appointment and that I wasn't coming back. It was a minor thing and frankly there are plenty of other derms out there.

I am so unfuckingbelievably busy I have no time to read or post, more or less, and I'm frustrated and I'm feeling deprived.
I'm so behind in my reports of recent meals:
Beppe (disappointing - only one dish was good out of many - we were 5 people - and the service was abominable)
San Domenico (gala re-openening, they flew in a chef from some famous restaurant in Palermo - fell in love with a Chardonnay from a producer called Planeta)
recent Hearth (last night with Steven Dilley - the kitchen is in top form)
Frasca (in Boulder, CO)
Savoy (good, not very good, but I like that place)
Fiamma (one of my favorite places for biz lunches lately - excellent pastas and good service)
Not to mention some good cooking in CO: bolognese, arroz con pollo...

They apparently re-did the whole place. I hadn't been in years, so I couldn't quite remember how it was.
It wasn't their regular menu, and it was a Slow Foods co-sponsored event, so I didn't get a sense of what their kitchen is like - the staff of this restaurant in Palermo was in control of the kitchen. (resisting politically incorrect joke)
